Course Summary


Strumming chords, keeping a beat, and getting a rhythm going is the way most people begin learning to play a guitar.  It can get people tapping their feet and wanting to sing along.  The rhythms can be basic or complex and yet both can be compelling and dramatic. The rhythm can be the same throughout a song or filled with variations an innovation. 

In part one we explore the different ways a guitar can be strummed with the fingers and learn and apply the common rhythms. We begin with the easiest and then progress from there. Everything is applied to a son and the musical reason for that rhythm is demonstrated.

Part two, when it arrives, will go into more complex strums and innovative techniques to give you tools to be creative as an Indie Artist.
